7/2 - 7/9/06 - Trip #4! This time there were too many people to name! With amazing cooking, a great boat, fishing trip, kayaking, shell searching and great games of charades, this was the best year yet! Thank you for such an awesome time in Captiva! - Oregon, Washington, Norway

6/3 - 6/10/06 - We found Sandhurst on the Web and were excited to see it was everything we expected and more! Thanks for sharing your home with us. As owners of rental property, we know how difficult it is to put your heart and soul into a place and then trust others with it! It was especially great to have everything we needed. We hope to make it this way again. - Atlanta and NC

5/27 - 6/3/06 - Our first family trip - ever! We coordinated 13 different schedules to gather 2 grandparents, their 3 children, their husbands and wife, and 5 fabulous kids aged 2.5 to 12! We all say this is truly one of the best vacations ever! Thank you for opening your home to our generations. We relaxed, swam, played games, collected shells and most importantly, made memories to cherish. Thanks to this special week in Captiva, we strengthened our family bond - a priceless gift. Matt - he added 100 pounds to our group - fabulous food! Happy 40th Anniversary Mom and Dad! - Texas

5/13 - 5/20/06 - We were married here on May 18th. We had such a lovely time. The weather was perfect, Matt cooked the most fabulous meals and the shelling was fantastic. Sandhurst was a beautiful place to exchange our vows.

5/6 - 5/13/06 - Four generations of family came here for their second time. It was just great. We did appreciate the house, the pool, the "Florida" Room, and the sea and birds. - Quebec, Cananda

4/15 - 4/22/06 - Our first trip back since our stay here in 2004. It was great to see that Sandhurst survived the hurricanes and was as welcoming as ever. We hope to return.

3/18 - 3/25/06 Our 2005 Christmas present was an awesome and unforgettable trip to Sandhurst in March - what a gift! Mom is in a wheelchair/walker and finding a place that could accommodate her and the rest of us was a true God-send. We will all, forever remember the week we spent together at Sandhurst. 12/27- 1/3/06 - Our family had a delightful time during our stay at Sandhurst. Our 50th anniversary was this past June and our children and grandchildren joined us here to have our first family vacation in 28 years! We constructed puzzles, cooked up great meals, had good beach walks, collected shells, laughed a lot, reminisced, shed a few happy tears and loved being together. We were so happy to have all of our family together in one home. We will always treasure the memory.

11/19/05 - We have been having a great time - using the pool a lot and shelling on the beach. We have had some wonderful meals from Matt and Eric. The house is so big that no one seems to get in each others way and there are so many of us! Thanks for the memories - we don't want to leave yet! - Minneapolis, MN

11/05/05 - After spending a week at Sandhurst we are captivated by the spell of this place, the Sandhurst Estate. Never could we have imagined the relaxation that this vacation would bring. Somehow the island and the estate take control and you have no choice but to kick back and relax. We kayaked, played tennis, played in the pool and lounged on the beach. - Manahawkin, NJ

7/23/05 - What a lovely place you have! It accommodated all 25 of us so beautifully! A family reunion that included babies and septuagenarians - we all loved it! - Vero Beach, Florida

7/9/05 -Back again! 5th Year! All families were back! This trip was so great! We saw manatees, dolphins and we caught fish! This place is so great! The food from Matt and Eric was better than ever! When Hurricane Dennis started going off course, the rain, wind, thunder and lightning came! We went to the beach and got some great shells! -Oregon & Washington

2/14/04 We didn't visit before your expansion, but the 2004 model Sandhurst Estate is spectacular. We enjoyed your home with its beautiful grounds and "kid friendly" amenities. We hope to return.

5/22/04 We traveled from several different cities to surprise my husband on his 40th birthday. There were old friends and new friends. We even made a few new friends here on the island. Our vacation was one we will always remember. Your home allowed us to congregate for celebrations and sneak away for private moments. There is not an amenity overlooked or luxury missed. And of course, Matt's genius with our meals is now LEGENDARY in our group. Everything was perfect. Thank You. -Glens Mills, PA

May 2005 - What a wonderful week we all had reconnecting as family. The house was perfect - so inviting for children and beautiful island decor that was greatly appreciated by the adults. "Our" Matt (chef) and Eric were the Best! The Five Star breakfasts, lunches and dinners were fabulous! Certainly one of the highlights of the week, right up there with the pool. beach, cousins, aunts, uncles and grandparents. God is Good! Our week here was wonderful! It included the site of our wedding reception December 4! Elegant, comfortable, understated, and in keeping with the island - Sandhurst made ours a wedding to remember. Our honeymoon highlights here were walks along the gorgeous beach (via the convenient access) and sitting in the sand watching amazing sunsets. - Coconut Grove, FL

Christmas 1999 - All had a super time including watching the play-by-play NASA Hubble repair mission STS-103 with my son doing two, 8-hour space walks! The pool provided many hours of Marco Polo, Ping Pong tournaments were endless (for the grownups), the kids loved "Mr. Elevator" and the tennis court was the sight of our very own "Wimbledon" - Kalamazoo, MI & Asheville, NC

8/3/02 - 8/17/02 Had a jolly good time! Spiffy weather & cocktails & dreams. Super local folk, very friendly. A marriage proposal on the beach topped off the holiday, making it the best two weeks of my life (so far). Hope everyone who stays here laughs, eats and kisses as much as we have. U.K.

8/3/02 - 8/17/02 Had a magical 2 weeks on Captiva. The whole island is reminiscent of a Hollywood set - the stuff dreams are made of! Exotic wildlife, tumultuous storms, fabulous company. What more could one ask for. Incidentally, the islanders are so friendly reality is not of Captiva! Happy Memories. My daughter became engaged! - U.K.

We are here for our 8th year for a much loved reunion of our family. Your home has become a very special place for our family to relax together. We rarely ever leave this wonderful spot. We thought it was amazing before, but the "extreme makeover" is incredible. We love the friendly, beautiful kitchen and the new lanai. Just perfect! -PA & NY
